How it works

  • Your price is converted to $/bbl and compared with the latest EIA spot benchmark for that product.
  • More than 20% below benchmark: red flag. 10–20% below: ask why. Within range: price alone doesn't prove anything either way.
  • Fuel oil is compared with Brent crude as a floor, because there is no free daily fuel oil benchmark.
